Mark Baddley Family Visit and Photo Lessons

Last night we arrived in St. Joseph, Missouri where will be visiting Scott's brother Mark and his wife, Kim until Sunday midday.  After Scott's work today, we drove the 3 miles over to their cute house in Country Club, Missouri.  We're staying at the AOK Campgound and RV Park again where we stayed last August so I won't be giving a review of this location.  The only difference is that the swimming pool is broken (too bad since it was 90 degrees and humid today!).  This year we're in site 8.  Much better than last year right next to the lake.
We had a wonderful filet mignon dinner with twice baked potatoes from Kim's work at Hy-Vee grocers and sautéed mushrooms and onions.  After dinner, we all sat around in their beautiful backyard and chatted.  We took a few photos of each other.

Mark just bought Kim a new Nikon camera and she didn't know how to use it so I gave her some instructions and photography tips and tricks.  Kim said there was nothing to take photos of and I told her there were hundreds of things to shoot right there in their yard.  So, to prove my point, I told her to grab her camera and we started taking photos of all sorts of things.  Here's some photos I took to explained to her some ways to shoot photography - different angles, rule of thirds, etc.  These are some of my most favorite shots.  Enjoy their lovely yard.

We had a fun time doing shooting photos and I could see Kim was getting excited about the all the new ways of thinking to take photos.  I think she's got the idea now and can't wait to really work on her photos.  She took a great one of her tiki torch.  I'm excited to see what she'll have to show in the future.  Until tomorrow...Mark's daughter Dawn and all her tribe plus Kim's Cory will be there tomorrow night for dinner...stay tuned for a lot more family fun!
