Yellowstone Grizzly RV Park & Cabins - 4 Stars!

August 23rd was our last day on the road and we left Hardin, Montana destined for Yellowstone Grizzly RV Park & Cabins for the night in West Yellowstone.  Being in Hardin gave us access to the freeway just a mile from the KOA we were at.  It was a good 5 hours drive over to West Yellowstone.
We knew once we started west we were going to be getting a lot of smoke from all the recent west coast fires, especially in Yellowstone and Canada.  Despite the haze, it was still a beautiful drive through Montana especially around Grayling Creek in Wyoming on US Hwy 191.
Grizzly is a highly sought after place and it's a fabulous RV park!  I don't think I've seen such a well organized and clean park on all our travels!  Of course, the price reflects that at $74.65 per night with no discounts.  The registration had spots for 5 RV for registration.  In the morning hours, they flip it around so it's then staging for Class A RVs to hook up their toad.  That's pretty smart planning!
The park registration office and store is just gorgeous and the staff is super friendly. They also have a nice camp store, as well.
These steak brands were my favorite thing in the store!
We were given site 223 (the pink dot), a premier spot with paved area, gravel pad, full hookups, baby pine trees, grass, and picnic table.  It was a nice, more on the wider site, but we were not allowed to put up our dog pen for the girls, so we had to take them outside for potty.  Another rig did have their tent out, but we followed the rules.  What I like about these sites is that they angle you out when you get ready to leave so you don't hit trees or other things as you exit.
This place also has 9 cabins in two sections of the park.
Also, their bath houses (oh, did I mention 5 of them!) and laundry (oh, did I mention 4 of them!) were in great shape and very clean with entrances on one side and sinks for cleaning dishes on the other - if you need a sink.
I got a chuckle out of this, but trourist Orientals squat when they go...
The only downside here is that there wasn't much to do.  No pool; no hot tub.  No games like shuffleboard or horseshoes.  They did have a playground for kids and a pavilion.  The place is so large you can enjoy riding your bikes around.
There is also dumpsters everywhere but they blend in with the scenery plus two dump stations.  Plus, the street signs are neatly marked.
On the good side, it was just a couple of blocks to the shops and across the street from the post office.  Plus, it was a gated location for security.  When we were downtown, we ate at a place called Buckaroo Bills.  We kept smelling something wonderful like smoke BBQ somewhere and all we saw was this place.  I think it was a WORSE place to eat on the planet!  Everything came out of a can and was terrible.
What else!  Oh!  Here's some photos of the sites in general at the park.
We tried to stay two nights, but we couldn't get the same site for two nights.  If we stayed we would have to pack up, leave the park and sit for an hour and then re-enter after 12 noon and that wasn't worth it to us, so we just spend the one night.  The following day we'd be in Logan.  We really didn't stay because we've been to Yellowstone before - but we'll probably plan a trip again next summer after we tour the west coast...unless we stay on the east coast.  Who knows.

We gave the park 4 stars.  It would have been 5 if they'd had a pool.  They have room for one.  Overall, great place to be!  We'd definitely come back again!
