This week's Drop of Wisdom is focusing on Jasmine.We already previewed Rose and Neroli and the last of the new dōTERRA touch oils is Jasmine. Previously only available for special promotions, the long-awaited Jasmine is now a regular product! Yea! Like Rose and Neroli, it comes in a 10 mL roller ball also containing Fractionated Coconut Oil.
Jasmine is known as the "King of Flowers" and is prized for its delicate white flowers that emit a fragrance that can last up to 36 hours after being picked. When I lived in California, I always loved the smell of Jasmine in the air in the spring. It's one of my most favorite scents! It has a warm and floral fragrance. As a matter of fact, because it takes so many flowers to produce a small amount of oil and it's so labor intensive to extract the oil, Jasmine is highly sought after in the perfume industry as well as in aromatherapy. The extracting process of Jasmine is that the flowers have to be picked at daybreak because they are most fragrant and have the highest percentage of aromatic components intact!
I am so in love with all three of these touch oils. They generally have the same usage. It also helps to reduce the appearance of skin imperfections just like Rose and Neroli. I will apply it to hands then cup the oil to my nose to inhale the fragrance. After that, I apply it to my face and neck after washing my face and then add my moisturizer. The fragrance lingers throughout many hours of the morning and my face just glows.
You could also use Jasmine as a personal fragrance. The aroma is floral, warm, musky and exotic all rolled into one and is so uplifting, you can't help but put a smile on your face!
