doTERRA Convention 2017

Scott and I attended the 2017 doTERRA Convention entitled "You" held in Salt Lake City, Utah September 6-9, 2017.
We don't go on the first day because that more registration, but we attended classes from the 7-9th.  As mentioned in a prior post, we stayed at the Pony Express RV Park in Salt Lake City next to I-215 and Redwood Road and had to drive to the TRAX station and then take the train to city center.  Next year, we've already booked the KOA Salt Lake City, which is directly across the street from the TRAX station.
We thought we were going to be smart and register the day before classes so after we set up the RV we headed to SLC.  What can I say?  The crowds were something else!  Every year I think it can't be worse than the year before, but it is!  30,000 people converging in 2 square blocks can be a bit overwhelming but exciting at the same time.  Usually, we go to the Vivint Area but this year it was under construction, so ALL 30,000 people were in the Salt Palace Convention Center! WOW!  I felt like I was living back in China all over again...

We stayed in this line all the way to the escalators
(two black lines at the back of this photo)
Then we got in yet another long line...ours was the longest of all the lines, naturally!
People waiting to get their name badges and wristbands
If it were me, I think I would have local people in the Provo/Salt Lake City area pick their name badges and wristbands to elevate some of the crowing.  Perhaps mail attendees who are within 300 miles and then the remainder to pick up at convention.  Maybe that would help the lines not to be so long?  But, it was fun to watch all the people getting their photos taken all dressed up for the gala that night while waiting in line.
Finally, after about an hours and a half, we confirmed our registration and couldn't get out of there fast enough!  We went upstairs to where there were fewer people and headed back to the TRAX to feed the girls and plan our day tomorrow.
We were scheduled to be on Track A - the early morning session, however due to the Arena being worked on, it wasn't safe or people to be in that construction area, so plan B went into effect.  The Salt Palace was split in half - 15,000 in the West rooms where we attended (Hall 3-5) and 15,000 in the East rooms.  Usually the product showcase is in Hall 3-5 but instead they used the entire parking lot across the street for that and the concert with Rachel Platten - and entire square block!
We enjoyed topics during the entire convention and they were very uplifting.
Here are the new products doTERRA is releasing this year.  The convention kit is just AMAZING!   First, there a trio of oils for the Yoga Collection, Align, Anchor and Arise.  Then, an OnGuard sanitizing spray for your hands or surfaces that you can carry in your purse or pocket, Blue Tansy, Copaiba, and Siberian Fir oils and then to top it all off, Rose, Jasmine and Neroli floral oils!  I'm so excited about them! If you want to know more about how essential oils can transform your life, leave me a message below.
Can't wait for next year!  Convention is always great!
