Ramblin Pines Campground - 5 Stars!

After we crossed into Maryland on July 2nd, we were scheduled to stay at the gated Ramblin Pines Campground in Woodbine, Maryland.  It is a gorgeous wooded campground and so big you really don't feel like you're on your neighbor.  They are very strict with their rules...especially driving the wrong way on the roads, but other than that, the park is extremely neat, clean and tidy with wonderful amenities.  We really enjoyed it.  I was really excited to see that the property is on a farm as well with a barn quilt on the barn!  How fun is that?!
Amenities include:
  • Pull-through and back in sites with Full Hookups
  • Cabins
  • Tent Camping
  • Extra Parking
  • Restrooms with bathhouse
  • Laundry
  • Lodge House
  • Camp Store
  • Pavilion
  • Pool
  • Disabled access
  • Multiple Playgrounds
  • Mini Golf
  • Volleyball
  • Basketball
  • Shuffleboard
  • Horseshoes
  • Jumping Pillow
  • Hiking Trail
  • Dog Park and Dog Run
  • Fishing
  • Goats
  • Dump Station
  • Propane
  • RV Storage Lots x2
The property is gated and very clean including the camp store even though it's pretty archaic...it's just rustic and gives you a lot of sensory overload.  People love to sit around the office area playing games under the awning.
The bathrooms were extremely clean and updated, which makes for a nice bath experience.  These have been the best bathrooms I've seen in a year of RVing except for the Lumberton NC bathrooms.
Here's our site and the surrounding woods.  We had site A5.  We did have a close neighbor on the one side, but they were really fun and friendly people.
The laundry was pretty good and attached to this building was a rec center where the teens were hanging out.  The mail center was also here for those who live here full-time or seasonally.
The pool was beautiful with lots of recliners!
Here are photos of the recreational amenities.
Even the extra parking and trash area was clean!
And, the decor around the campground was so fun!
The cost is $58.50 per night with a 10% discount for AAA, AARP, Good Sam excluding holiday weekends.  We were there over the 4th of July and even though we were here July 2-6th, we didn't get a discount.  We also didn't have power when we got there and that had to be changed out.  It was so hot, we were dying waiting for someone to come and fix it.  Finally, 2 hours later, I marched over to the office - very grumpy, I might add - and asked when it was going to be fixed and within 5 minutes 3 guys were there fixing it.  Sheez.  But, despite all that, I still gave this campground a 5-star rating for the amenities and feeling of the location.  We didn't get satellite for all the obvious reasons, but for being a campground and not an RV park, this is a 5-star location and the amount of space it gives you!  Everything was in exceptional order and it was great!  I was return again and I highly recommend this place!
