We had breakfast for dinner with Lisa and the family on June 25th and met Lisa at her local Food Lion grocery store in Moyock, North Carolina, an up and coming town. They are currently building their first house and Lisa wanted to drive us over to see the house before we went over to dinner at her place. The house is just down the street from Lisa's work at Navy Federal Credit Union and a few miles from Josh's work at the Coast Guard Station in Virginia. So, the move it a good one. It's closer to a real town with stores and shopping unlike their currently location. The only bad thing is that the kids have to change school and Cierra is NOT happy about the move. Hunter could care less and is even excited about moving.
At dinner, since Scott has to work and Lisa and Josh were working, I told the kids I'd take them to a double header at the movies the following day (June 26th) at Cinema Cafe Edinburgh in Chesapeake, Virginia - the closest theater to them (they live on the Virginia border in a little town called South Mills).

While the ticket prices are super reasonable at $6.00 per kid and $6.50 per ticket adult, they kill you with the food. You see, this is a theater dining experience with waiters who bring you food that you order off a menu.

You ring for service and it's brought to you. How they do this is that they have removed every other row and make a super wide row with single reclining seats each having a tray table and drink station nearly like at home. The seats are comfortable but the food is VERY expensive.

For both movies, I spend $75 on food so I think I walked away paying $110 total! The menu is located in a cubby under the table and it's HUGE with all sorts of options! Servers come before the movie, if possible, but they also come during the movie and you hardly even know there's around.
Here are some photos of the theater where beer and wine is sold plus where you first enter.
Once you show your ticket and head down the hallway to your theater, you can see where the kitchen is and the drink station.
Even the bathroom had a button for service!
It was a super fun experience -- expensive and unique, but fun! It's a smart way to make a whole lot of movie...while there are less seats, for what you spend on food, you make 3 times what you would with tickets and regular concessions alone! Smart!
