Madison-Pittsburgh SE KOA

We arrived at Madison-Pittsburgh SE KOA in Ruffs Dale, PA by 6:30 p.m. on July 7th.  We were only staying one night.  It was an ok park.  Not my favorite by any means, but at least we had a place to park the rig for a night.  We were assigned space 4 on a very narrow, unlevel road.  The map shows that it's a diagonal site, but I didn't feel that and I wouldn't say one site was better than another.  The whole place just felt really cramped and packed in, which I don't like.  We paid $51.30 for the night, which I thought was pretty expensive! Normally, it's $57 per night but with our KOA membership, we got 10% off that.
The place did have some OK amenities.

  • Pull Thru with full hookups
  • 11 Cabins
  • Wifi
  • Cable
  • Dump Station
  • Shade Trees but not many
  • Grass
  • Picnic Table
  • Pet Area
  • Pool
  • Bath House
  • Laundry which was pretty great but you had to drive up the hill to do it...
  • 2 National Monument within an hours drive
  • Bike Path
  • Kids Playground
  • Camp Store
  • Horseshoes
  • Fishing (Catch & Release only)
  • Boat Rentals
  • Basketball Court
  • Bounce Pillow

Here are photos of the place.  Positive perks was that the  Internet was really good!
I was actually very concerned on how I was going to exit the park since we're such a long rig and the roads were SO narrow, but our next door neighbor moved his truck and it gave us the amount of room needed to exit the park.

We gave this park a 2 rating.  Not the best although the laundry was EXCELLENT!
